Fall General Assembly

We write to invite you to the Fall 2023 UC Ethnic Studies Faculty Council General Assembly (GA). This GA is especially urgent given the escalating genocide against Palestine. It represents a crucial opportunity to strategize and theorize about the role we can play as academic workers in the ongoing struggle for Palestinian liberation.

The GA will be focused on Critical Zionism Studies and the fight against right-wing attacks against ethnic studies in the state of California and beyond. We are incredibly fortunate to be in conversation with Emmaia Gelman and Sean Malloy on their research on Zionism, and we will strategize together to fight against the attacks on ethnic studies. This is sure to be a rich and illuminating conversation, and we look forward to engaging with you all.
